There’s a lot of weight attached to Mini’s electric SUV, but we’re first up with an internal combustion engine version.

The new Mini Countryman has also arrived in the Czech configurator. While it was presented as an electric car, or rather a lot of weight was attached to this variant, for now we have versions with combustion engines for you. As expected, the range somewhat mirrors the BMW X1, with which Mini shares its underpinnings. And as you can probably guess, the John Cooper Works version only gained because it adopted a 300-horsepower two-liter. However, let’s start from the beginning.

You can recognize the Countryman with combustion engines by the designation C. There are currently several versions on the Czech Mini website that you already know from the electric Cooper. They are Essential, Classic, Favored and John Cooper Works package. All of them have one thing in common, and that is a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid three-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 125 kW (170 hp), which is a combined value of 115 kW from the combustion engine and 14 kW from the electric motor.

The new BMW X2 is already in production. It is checked and marked by artificial intelligence at the factory in Regensburg

The transmission is always automatic with paddle shifters under the steering wheel, and only front-wheel drive is available in conjunction with this engine. Prices range from CZK 874,900 for the Essential to CZK 1,102,114 for the John Cooper Works package. naturally, a comparison is offered with the BMW X1, which will offer this combo in the sDrive20i version. But you are practically not deprived of anything with the Mini, the base for less than 900,000 already has two-zone automatic air conditioning, parking assistant, navigation, 17-inch wheels, LED lighting technology or DAB radio.

With each higher version, your equipment is also naturally improved. For example, the Classic, compared to the Essential, has vegan leather upholstery, a quilted steering wheel, ambient lighting, wireless charging of mobile phones, an alarm or heated front seats. Favorite adds high beam assistant, head-up display or keyless entry. With the John Cooper Works package, you will already have different bumpers, nineteen wheels and a generally sportier design with a black interior.

The BMW iX1 will make customers think differently. Parity was achieved with incinerators and with non-premium competition

But of course, the biggest cannon awaits you in the JCW ALL4 version. As the name suggests, this is a four-wheeler that is connected to the mentioned two-liter engine with a power of 221 kW (300 hp). You will also have a seven-speed automatic transmission here, but the dynamics are completely different. This thing will hit 100 in 5.4 seconds. The design is the same as the three-cylinder with the package, but you also get 20-inch wheels. It will cost 1,261,000 CZK, so the surcharge for the full-fat version of the JCW compared to the package is slightly over 150,000.
