The calendar of events for the year 2024 looks very varied, but let’s start with the aforementioned WorldSBK World Superbike Championship, which will take place in Most from July 19 to 21. The championship will arrive in northwestern Bohemia for the fourth time, this time on a slightly different date – due to the Olympic Games.

“Thanks to the Olympics, an Olympic park will be created in the area of Mostecký jezera, the facilities and capacity of which, including the parking lot, will also be available to WorldSBK visitors. Thus, we should be fully prepared for the expected large onslaught of fans,” Josef Zajíček, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Autodrom Most, describes ongoing negotiations with the city about the synergy of the two companies.

This year, the Mostec stop of the championship attracted 54,000 visitors, which was almost a third more than last year. “Already last year, we split the entrance fee into the spectator slope and the racing paddock, which allowed us to make superbikes accessible to an even wider audience. Around forty spectators took advantage of the more affordable tickets and watched WorldSBK from the spectator slope. We will keep the ticket price and system for next year in the same mode, and we are launching sales now so that fans can use the tickets as a Christmas present for their loved ones.” reveals Josef Zajíček.

Trucks, NASCAR and vintage cars

The second most visited event in Mostek, the European Championship of Circuit Trucks – Czech Truck Prix & NASCAR, will be held on the last holiday weekend, i.e. August 30th to September 1st. Trucks, as well as cars from the European NASCAR series and other supporting series, will once again compete on the circuit. The weekend will also include an accompanying program, promising fun for the whole family.

The Most CLASSIC car festival will once again take place, which combines races, an exhibition and a meeting of historic cars. It will take place on September 27 to 29.

Almost 10,000 visitors and almost five hundred historic vehicles of all categories arrived at this year’s event. “We are working to make The Most CLASSIC gradually develop into a really big car festival, where both owners, collectors and clubs of historic cars, as well as fans and the public will meet. We are the leading Czech racing circuit and we want to offer everyone the possibilities that the entire area offers,” describes Josef Zajíček, who himself owns several veterans.

In Mostek’s calendar for the next season, we will also find other attractive sports events, such as the FIA CEZ and ESET Cup, the German IDM International Motorcycle Championship, or the Autoshow and Safety Day, which traditionally close the autodrome season.

We are also planning to adjust the approach in the T1 corner to increase safety when braking motorbikes.
