Ninove is looking for people who speak Ukrainian/Russian as well as Dutch and who want to support the communication between the Ukrainians and the employees of the city through a volunteer contract.

The city supports its new Ukrainian residents in their (integration) process. Language is an important part here, without the help of translators and interpreters it is very difficult to guarantee good assistance and service. The city is therefore looking for people who speak Ukrainian/Russian as well as Dutch and who occasionally want to support the communication between the Ukrainians and the employees through a volunteer contract. Interpreters will be welcome, for example, in the care point of the Dender-South primary care zone and during the coming meeting moments for Ukrainian refugees.

Mayor Tania De Jonge: “The 96 refugees from Ukraine already feel at home in our city. Our host families and social services receive them very well and provide excellent guidance. For optimal guidance, the language is a very important aspect, so we are looking for volunteers to assist us in this.”

Interested parties can contact the Social House on 054 50 50 50, [email protected].
