The municipality of Oosterzele organizes ‘Oosterzele sings’ on the occasion of 11 July. Vocal choir Crescendo Zottegem will give an aperitif concert on July 10 at 11 am in the Ankerkerk in Oosterzele.
Oosterzele traditionally celebrates the holiday of the Flemish Community and the Flemish Region. The Feast of the Flemish Community is the official national holiday of Flanders, which falls on 11 July. Many young people do not know why it is the feast of Flanders on 11 July. One recalls the Battle of 11 July 1302, in which Flanders defeated an army of French knights on horseback in Kortrijk. This historic battle has gone down in history as the Battle of the Golden Spurs.
After the concert there will be a reception with fries with stew and a drink.
Participation costs 10 euros. For more information and tickets you can visit the community center De Kluize: 09 363 83 30, [email protected] in www.gcdekluize.be. (mvdv, foto’s ddl)
