On Tuesday evening, June 28, a class of sixth-year students was said goodbye in an atmospheric way in the H.-Hartkerk. Director Marc De Groote, together with his oldest students from primary school, looked back in time, where beautiful memories came to the fore.
“But education is mainly about the future, it’s about good well-being and involvement, about resilience and the sweet taste of learning,” says the retiring Marc De Groote. “During the moment of reflection, chairman Hans Vandenholen wished all students good luck in connection and confidence in what awaits them. Then the sixth-graders received their primary education certificate from the director and encouraged by their teachers Soetkin, Magalie and Febe. On top they were given to bridge the summer holidays: a group photo, a school calendar, a DVD with the editing of their video clips. Finally, director De Groote thanked all the teachers present for their efforts, input and patience in always wanting to do the best possible job. The outgoing members of the parent committee were commended for their years of unmeasured commitment. It was not without thanking the parents for their trust in our school and wishing the students good luck with their further study choice. Best wishes!”
