As a result of the Rock Zottegem music festival that takes place on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July at the Bevegemse Vijvers, there has already been (for the construction) in place from Wednesday last week and this (before the demolition) until Tuesday 12 July at midnight. a parking ban in the Swimming Pool Street (on both sides) as well as on the road (right side) to the sports center / swimming pool. From Friday 8 July at 6 pm to Sunday 10 July at midnight, this will also be the case in the Bevegemse Vijvers car park and in Hemelrijkstraat (on both sides) and Vogelzang (on both sides + local traffic only). In addition, from Friday 8 July at 12 noon to Sunday 10 July at midnight, it is also not allowed to park on H. Hartplein at house numbers 19-20 and over a distance of ten meters at various intersections in the Bevegem district. Only local traffic will be allowed in the streets in the vicinity of the Bevegemse Vijvers. Furthermore, signalmen will be posted on the aforementioned festival days at the intersections and approach roads on the edge of Bevegem.
NIGHT NOISE: END HOURS
The city council has given permission to the organization of Rock Zottegem to also play music on Thursday 7 July from 5 to 10 p.m. to test the sound installations. Contrary to the standards set by the Flemish Government for music (night noise) in public and private establishments, music may be played on the first two festival days until 3 am (on Friday from 5.30 pm and on Saturday from 4 pm) and on the closing (Sun) day from 5 to 11.30 pm.
