Let us not beat around the bush. The flea and antiques market of Bruisend Balegem is a household name. A classic. Many exhibitors will display their ‘marchandise’ on Sunday 14 August 2022. Fans of flea markets are guaranteed to spot a vintage must-have. On August 14, the Molenbeekstraat, Poststraat and Houte (towards Balegem – Dorp station) will be taken over by the flea, antique and curio market, which will be organized for the eighth time (the poppies edition) during Bruisend Balegem. And a nice bonus, participating is now also free. Opperbruiser Christ Meuleman and the bruisers would like to thank Robert Baele and Danny Desmet for their efforts and exemplary organization at the previous editions. Robert and Danny now pass the torch to Ilse and Kris, who will continue the strong reputation of the BB flea market. Come and stroll around, sniff, sniff and at the same time discover the purchase of your life. Thousands of visitors were spotted on previous editions. Take the unique opportunity to participate yourself. Just free. Registration is a must, go like lightning

Second-hand stuff is often cooler than newfangled stuff, often better quality and you get an original piece that no one else has. Old things have a soul, they say a lot about the time in which they were designed. Many scour the market in search of items that they would like to give a second life. In addition to being a free haven for interesting bargains, the Bruisend Balegem flea market is an atmospheric tradition in which treasure hunting, grab and haggling are central. Beautiful things for little money. You will find all kinds of curiosities, valuables and nice gadgets in a relaxed way at the flea and antique market. Often the rule is, the more popular the better. The curious-nosed, the collector, the antique lover, the price-conscious, the snooper, the sniffer, … one by one they will scour the flea market. You can make real bargains. Bargaining is part of such a second-hand scavenger hunt. Ask how much something costs and say how much you want to give. Either it is good, or a middle ground is sought. Everyone flocks to the flea markets, from chic madams to giggling teenagers. Walking around uninhibitedly. That open Bruisend Balegem atmosphere has a lot to do with that.
The flea market remains a permanent fixture on Bruisend Balegem. A must for second-hand enthusiasts. Anyone fascinated by nostalgia and vintage should head to Balegem.
