On Friday 15 July the third stage (with start and finish in Herzele) of the 6th edition of the five-day Baloise Ladies Tour (the former BeNe Tour for women’s elite)) will also pass through Zottegem’s territory.
In total, the riders will ride about 14 km on Zottegem roads. Coming from Herzele (start at 1.30 pm) they will head for Brakel-Michelbeke via Leenstraat, Gentsesteenweg, Langestraat, Godverdegemstraat, Jasmijnstraat, Tweekerkenstraat, Kloosterstraat, Smissenhoek, Ten Ede, Faliestraat, Sint-Hubertusplein, Oudenhovestraat, Sint-Goriksstraat, Ten Bosse, Kruiswaterplein, Smisstraat, Roter, Kortendries and Langendries. This passage is planned between 1.35 pm and 2 pm and with a view to a safe passage, in those streets (or the part thereof that is part of the aforementioned route) from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm parking ban to apply. In the Kloosterstraat and Smissenhoek this only concerns the parking lanes next to the carriageway in the direction of Sint-Maria-Oudenhove and on Sint-Hubertusplein only the roadway. Also will from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm one-way traffic apply in the Smisstraat (only permitted in the direction of Roter), Roter (in the direction of Kortendries) and Kortendries (in the direction of Langendries).
