100 years of Culture Makers (formerly vtbKultuur). They officially blow out 100 candles, and that is celebrated with The New Orleans Night Owls, a seven-piece jazz band with an international line-up. The band brings original classic New Orleans Jazz. Place to be: from 5.30 pm the Old Manneken School in Giezenzele. Inspiring trumpet player and ‘New Orleans authority’ Joris De Cock has been bringing together the very best instrumentalists under his wing for many years, ranging from trumpeter to tenor sax. NONO revives classic jazz from the 1920s to the 1940s, more specifically jazz and R&B. Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Sydney Bechet and Louis Prima are just a few names from their rich repertoire. Music lovers…let the good times roll. Simply, not to be missed.
