Zottegem receives external help and is also looking for job students for green maintenance

In addition to its own green service, the city of Zottegem also receives . for the periodic maintenance of public greenery external help through social employment. In this context, the city council recently concluded a three-year framework contract with the custom-made company De Dagmoed from Geraardsbergen for the maintenance of green areas on the OCMW site, amounting to EUR 49,886.61 per year. Employees of the local BVBA BWZ (Protected Workshop) can also be used for the maintenance of public green spaces, street sides and cemeteries. For this, too, an agreement for three years (2022, 2023 and 2024) has been put in writing for an amount of 90,890.36 euros on an annual basis. In addition, the city is also looking for job students (minimum age 16 years / m, v, x) for temporary support of the green service, during the period from July 19th to September 30th every working day from 8.15 am to 4 pm.
