Geraardsbergen. When the police of Geraardsbergen/Lierde stopped a moped rider with passenger for a check, he fled. The police were able to intercept the moped. Closer inspection revealed that the moped’s license plate had been stolen. The moped was also converted to a motorcycle. “Given the unsafe behavior in traffic, the motorcycle was seized and the driver’s license was immediately revoked for 15 days. An official report has been drawn up,” the police said.
A car driver was also tested positive for ‘drugs in traffic’. ‘In addition, this person had no insurance, nor a registration or inspection certificate. His driver’s license was immediately revoked for 15 days,” the police said. A driver’s license was revoked for 6 hours because he blew positive. In addition, official reports were written for, among other things, not being able to show a driver’s license, insurance and registration.
