In honor of the national holiday on 21 July, the city of Zottegem is presenting an XL edition of the Park Concerts. Exceptionally, they start at 12 noon with a varied program that will also cater for families with children.
“You can enjoy a drink and fries on the open-air terrace. Kids can enjoy the fringe entertainment with crazy hairstyles, bouncy castles, children’s make-up and a balloon popper,”
says alderman of Culture Lieselotte De Roover (CD&V). Throughout the day a musical show is organized for young and slightly older people. The Crazy Discoshow opens the day at 1.30pm. Then it is the turn of Boma and the Butcher Parade at 3 p.m. They provide a dazzling folk festival. At 5.30 pm Buscemi Live will present a mix of lounge, jazz, house, bossa, electro, afro and latino grooves. The family afternoon will be concluded with the park concert of 50 Tinten Brijs, a performance full of fantastic music from our own country and the Netherlands. It promises to be a well-filled and enjoyable afternoon. Young and old can enjoy the free program and find the necessary refreshment on the open-air terrace. The collaboration with the Parkconcerten gives us the opportunity to enjoy our national holiday even longer. This way we not only enjoy the afternoon, but we also enjoy great music in the evening.”
