Soon it will no longer be possible to use the ATM opposite the registration kiosks at the reception desk in the AZ Sint-Elisabeth Zottegem.

Because a strong decrease in cash withdrawals at ATMs and a sharp increase in card payments are increasingly being observed, some major banks have decided to deactivate a number of ATMs in response to this trend. For that reason, the vending machine in the Zottegemse hospital will also be closed be removed at the end of this month of August.

It is also stated that a new network of ATMs has now been launched by the four major Belgian banks, called ‘Batopin’, with the intention that every Belgian can still go to a cash machine within a radius of 5 km from his/her place of residence. Near the AZ Sint-Elisabeth the nearest Batopin vending machines are located approx. 1 km away in Zottegem center at Trapstraat 2 (corner with Zavel) and at Stationsplein 11 (right next to the entrance).
