In Zegelsem, the nursery is approached a little differently this school year at Het Groene Lilare. The schools GVB-LILARE (Michelbeke, Elst and Opbrakel) and DE GREEN HEUVEL (St.-Maria-Latem, Zegelsem and St.-Maria-Oudenhove) form one large school under the symbolic name ‘THE GREEN LILARE’. Today we are guests in Zegelsem, where the kindergarten has been thoroughly changed.
During the summer holidays, the kindergarten class worked hard to create one large space between the two classes, says director Johan Meirhaeghe.
The different kindergarten classes can fully work together in one large space. This gives many advantages, say the teachers Saskia and Doris. “We can approach each child at his level. For some matters we open the door wide so that we have one large leeway and for other matters we can work separately. We can speak here of an integrated nursery operation.”
