On Sunday 19 September there will be the third edition of the Milkrun in Sint-Lievens-Houtem, on the occasion of the September fair in Bavegem. A team of parents, teachers and volunteers from the Vrije Basisschool Klim-Op ensures that everything runs smoothly.
Three years ago the idea arose to organize a Family Fun Milk run in the village center of Bavegem: a fun jogging for young and old with a passage through the Inex factory in combination with an obstacle run for the little climbers. Last year, more than 700 runners took part in the family event in and through the green village. An unprecedented success!
On Sunday September 18, the Family Fun Milk Run will take place again in Bavegem. As usual, it will be a sporty and family day for young and old in an original setting, with a lot of side entertainment. In the morning, timed runs are provided of 4, 8 or 12 km and a more recreational run without time registration of 2 km. Both start-to-runners and more experienced runners will find something to their liking. The course starts at the Free Primary School Klim-Op and runs along beautiful rural roads, topped off by a passage through the INEX milk factory. In the afternoon there is the Obstacle Kids Run for the youngest. Small participants from pre-school up to and including the sixth grade can enjoy themselves in a renewed and challenging course.
Each participant receives a delicious dairy goodie bag, donated by numerous sponsors. All information can be found at www.milkrun.be. Register quickly is the message!
Anyone who would like to lend a hand is also very welcome. Send your details or your question to [email protected] and the Milkrun team will be happy to contact you. More information can also be found on the website www.milkrun.be
