The new school year has also started at the Institute of Nursing (IVV) Sint-Vincentius in Zottegem. Because many of the new students do not come from Zottegem, the university of applied sciences organized an introductory meeting in the center of Zottegem.
“It is in the news almost every day, but we still need a lot of hands in healthcare”, it sounds from the IVV Zottegem. “Teamwork makes the dreamwork! We attach great importance to this and therefore wanted to give the starting shot with the beginning of ‘the red thread’ through the nursing training. We started the school year with a fun team building event in our Egmont city. On Friday afternoon, September 2, teachers and students set out together. We had a wonderful team building session and the sun was out. A fantastic start to the new school year. Only enthusiastic students and teachers on campus Zottegem. The close relationship we are slowly building is an effort from the entire team.”
“We guarantee positivity and want to radiate this as one team to our students. It sounds ‘cliche’ but is ‘touché’ . Because not all students come from the city of Zottegem itself, we also wanted to get to know them a little bit about the center. During our team building, the different class groups were given a number of fun assignments. At the 4 stops there were always assignments that the students had to do (limbo, petanque, photo contest = baby photo of the teachers). Before they started the tour, a banner with a mention of IVV was made per class. They were supposed to keep up with the banner throughout the trip and to take and post an original photo with it. The photo with the most likes on Sunday evening 8 p.m. won a prize. To conclude, they were offered a delicious ice cream from a local tradesman.”
