The Ghent brewers of Hedonis Ambachtsbier, known for the beer Ouwen Duiker, open after 7 years of gipsy brewing its own brewery in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. The brewery was officially opened last Sunday.
“We had been moving to our new location with Hedonis for several weeks. The brewing room, fermentation tanks and bottling plant have already been given their place in our warehouse, the connection works have been completed,” says Jasper, who is responsible for marketing and sales. “A serious investment in these difficult times, but the only way is up. We recently won several international awards with our beers and we strongly believe in their potential.”
“Hedonis has been active since 2015, but never had its own brewery before. I did the brewing myself all those years, but in other breweries,” adds Leopold De Ketelaere. He is the brewer and founder of Hedonis Ambachtsbier. “The in-house brewing installation will also offer more creative options for special beers and limited editions, in addition to our Ouwen Duiker, which has been known for some time.”
Especially because of its location, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes and also along the route of the Tour of Flanders, Hedonis also hopes to become a meeting place for cyclists and walkers in the region.
The opening of the brewery took place last Sunday, which attracted a lot of people.
