On Saturday October 1, at 8 pm, 4 cellists will be on stage in the church of Everbeek-Beneden for the concert of the Festival of Flanders. These are three prize winners of the prestigious BIC Competition and cellist Han Bin Yoon, artistic director of the Belgium Cello Association. Together, the foursome will perform a concert with special arrangements of early and less early music. The program includes unadulterated classics, such as the famous Air from Bach’s Third Orchestral Suite or the noble Pavane pour une infante défunte by Maurice Ravel. But the cellists also treat us to some newer evergreens, such as Henry Mancini’s song Moon River.
Tickets for this concert (14 or 12 euros) are available in the library or at the Tourist Office. You can book online in advance via brakel.bibliotheek.be
