After a two-year corona interruption, the Zottegem Festivities Committee can once again start a long-standing habit and a day trip to a Christmas market in Germany is once again being organized. This time you can immerse yourself in the atmospheric colorful lighting and enjoy the charm of festive Christmas stalls and adapted music at the Christmas market in Aachen, the westernmost major city in Germany, in the border area with the Netherlands and Belgium, about 55 km west of Cologne.
In 2015 they already traveled to Aachen. In between, a visit was made to the Christmas market in Essen in 2016, Düsseldorf in 2017, Trier in 2018 and Cologne three years ago. The bus leaves on Monday 5 December at 6 am on the Markt and the return is planned for midnight. The bus trip costs 25 euros per person (pay on the bus) and reservation of a seat on the bus can be made – until December 1 at the latest – with Guy Buysse, secretary of the Party Committee Zottegemby e-mail to [email protected] or by telephone on 0478 456 411.
