The ‘Actueel Art Platform’ (AAP), a working group of the Art and Culture Council Ninove, organizes for the first time since its foundation in 2019, but prevented by Corona, the connecting artistic project ‘ARTCuMuL’, which stands for merging, merging, pile up. This art happening will take place in the beautifully renovated heritage ‘De Liberale Kring’, Dreefstraat 16 9400 Ninove, from Thursday 27 October to Sunday 06 November 2022.
‘Actueel Art Platform’, is an art platform for Ninoofse artists, which focuses specifically on the contemporary arts, but also explores a correlation between not only visual art in all its forms, but also other art forms such as current music, literature, poetry, film , dance, a relevant reading. All these facets now come together for the first time in the ‘ARTCuMuL’ exhibition, which focuses on the connection of all the aforementioned art forms. The core of artists that participate in ‘ARTCuMuL’ lives, works or has roots in Ninove. This core invites fellow artists for the exhibition, in collaboration with the Culture Department, because of their appreciation and insight. And since art connects and knows no boundaries, the guest artist does not need to have a connection with the city. This creates a broader perception and promotes symbiosis between contemporary artists from Ninove and artists from outside the city, resulting in a fascinating melting pot of diversity and interesting conversations. This in turn leads to surprising combinations and an interaction between Ninove, the provinces or even beyond the national borders.
ARTCuMuL ’22 brings together a fine group of contemporary art including Toon Baro, Jan Bastiaensen, Ben Benaouisse, Koen De Decker, Claude Dendauw, Koen Deprez, Jo De Smedt, Bart Jacobs, Hilde NIJS, Peter Troucheau and Rebecca Van Rampelberg.
