Just over 60,000 people from the Scheldekracht primary care zone eventually accepted their invitation. This is more than half the adult population.
The call center will not be available during the autumn holidays because of a well-deserved rest.
From 7 November, the call center can be reached again by telephone from 9 am to 5 pm on 09 396 68 08. Anyone can also register at the callback list. From November 7, everyone on the list will be called back by the call center.
Since 12 September, vaccinations have been carried out almost daily in the premises of the CVO Groeipunt in Wetteren. Saturday 29 October is the last vaccination day in Wetteren. On October 14, most shots were taken in one day. 2,543 people received a booster shot. The turnout was much higher than initially expected. For example, almost 80% of the over-65s accepted their invitation. Because this is the most vulnerable group, we as a primary care zone are very satisfied with this high turnout.
Further course of the vaccination campaign
From November 1, all vaccination centers will go back to the vigilance phase. This means that there will be fewer vaccination moments in November and December.
We currently foresee two vaccination moments in November:
- November 9 from 4 pm in the vaccination point in the Kloosterstraat 24 C in Merelbeke.
- November 12 from 9 am in the ‘t Fazantenhof in the Bosdreef 5c in Lochristi. If it turns out that the turnout is high, we will also vaccinate on Sunday 13 November.
Citizens can call the call center (09 396 68 08) to make an appointment.
