In an earlier NUUS article (see via this link) we have already reported on the program of the Sinterklaas entry in Zottegem on Saturday 19 November, but this event also means the announcement of a number of other activities that will be organized in the coming days and weeks and in which Sinterklaas and his Pieten are central.
So can young sleuths from Saturday 19 November to Tuesday 6 December looking for about twenty mischievous Pieten (in the form of window stickers about 60 cm high) who have hidden with traders in the central streets. In some shop windows, however, a smaller poster of a dummy will have been hung… The starter pack for this quest contains a Pete’s hat, a button from Hulppiet, a sticker from Team Kijkpiet (to stick on the jacket) and a Pete passport in which the children can identify each crazy Pete. they can mark with a special helper pencil. This starter pack costs 2 euros and is available in the library and at the tourist office in the town hall (+ on the Markt only on Saturday 19 November during the Sinterklaas entrance).
- HEAVEN BUS, THEATER SHOW AND LIVE MEETING
Also from November 19 to December 6 Children who want to send a letter and/or coloring page to Sinterklaas can again use the special Heavenly Bus, which will be placed at the town hall on the Markt this time (so not at Egmont Castle/library due to restoration work). Sinterklaas sends a letter back. Anyone who wants to meet Sint (again) live can do so on Wednesday, November 30 in the House of the Child on the Kloosterstraat. Sinterklaas will be there from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the company of Glitter Piet and Ballonnen Piet, while the reading ladies from the library will also provide fun Sinterklaas stories. Finally, there is still on Sunday December 4 at 3 p.m. in the CC Zoetegem a family performance (for everyone from 5 years old) around a mysterious letter that the Pieten suddenly find while they are busy wrapping presents and which they of course show to Sint… Tickets for this show are full music, dance and humor cost 10 euros and 6 euros for children under 12 years. Reservations can be made via www.cczoetegem.be and at the Uitbalie by means of an e-mail to [email protected] or by telephone on 09 364 69 33.
