I became interested in various forms of art at a young age and went to the art academy in Eeklo for several years. After my studies in 2005 I started oil painting again.
It was after a visit to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam that I fell in love with the work: “a wheat field with crows”. I was curious about the technique and went back to work myself, which was my very first oil painting. Later I specialized in acrylic painting and modern abstract techniques such as the acrylic pouring technique and the typical drippings style such as Jackson Pollock.
In recent years I have immersed myself in the above art techniques. The “acrylic pouring”, the so-called acrylic pouring technique, the action painting “drippings” and landscape paintings. My preference still goes out to landscape paintings and I am always looking for a balance between realistic – but also artistic compositions. In my typical colorful style, I will often paint as a photographer would shoot with certain filters.
