The Mobility and Urban Management Hub project was approved

“Another project submitted by the Capital City Hall for financing through PNRR was approved: it is about the creation of the Mobility and Urban Management Hub, for which the sum of 5.85 million lei was allocated. The project that contributes to the digitization of PMB activities, provides for the development and operationalization for citizens of some components of the Urban Data Bank of the Municipality of Bucharest and the establishment of a Mobility and Urban Management Hub as an interface between the City Hall of the Municipality of Bucharest and the residents, respectively as a space for debates and participatory consultation of projects of public interest”, Nicuşor Dan writes on Facebook.

He states that within the project a digital public services platform in the field of urban planning will be created, respectively an open data platform in the field of urban mobility.

“Through this project, we aim to harmonize and integrate the information, data and plans initiated and carried out both by the PMB and by the sector municipalities and other institutions under their subordination or coordination, integration with other mobility planning and public transport management systems, collection and aggregating data in integrated and open data systems to facilitate the decision-making process in the fields of urban management, urbanism and urban mobility and informing and involving citizens in the decision-making process at the level of local public authorities. The establishment and operationalization of the Mobility and Urban Management Hub is the first step towards the construction of the Bucharest Urbanism Center, an entity that will monitor, base and coordinate the urban development of Bucharest”, concludes Nicuşor Dan.
