The Razim-Sinoe lagoon complex is repopulated with roe
ARBDD) carried out, again this year, a new series of actions to repopulate the Razim-Sinoe Lagoon Complex with embryonated shad (Sander lucioperca) eggs.
The actions are part of the service contract for the Restoration of saddle stocks from the Razim-Sinoie complex.
The directed natural reproduction process was carried out between March and April 2023, at the Enisala Research Base belonging to the “Danube Delta” Tulcea National Research and Development Institute, in the presence of ARBDD employees.
“The release of over 1200 embryonated nests according to the patented technology and their introduction into the lake was financed by ARBDD. Part of the income obtained from the access permits in the RBDD constituted the funds for restoring the stocks of walleye (Sander lucioperca) in Complex Razim – Sinoie, a species in decline”, says the ARBDD on its Facebook page.
