“All the perpetrators and accomplices of the war crimes committed in Ukraine will be brought to justice,” said Nabila Massrali, spokesperson of the European External Action Service (EEAS), on Wednesday.
The administration in Kiev has denounced an extrajudicial execution attributed to Russian military forces after the release of an unauthenticated video recording that appears to capture the beheading of a Ukrainian prisoner by a Russian soldier.
“We have no information about the authenticity of the recording, but, if it is confirmed, it is a new proof of the inhuman cruelty of the Russian aggression”, said Nabila Massrali, according to the daily Le Monde.
The United Nations Mission in Ukraine declared itself “horrified” by the video circulating on certain online networks. In addition, the institution denounced other images, which capture the mutilation of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
The administration in Moscow requested verification of the authenticity of the video recordings.
