Control teams of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Commissionerate for Consumer Protection (CRPCR) Bucharest-Ilfov checked, on Wednesday, the way in which the legislation is respected by economic operators operating in Obor Square in the Capital.
50 economic operators were checked and, for the irregularities found, up to this moment, the Commissioners of CRPCR Bucharest-Ilfov issued fines of 293,000 lei, 7 warnings, permanently stopped the sale of non-compliant food products, temporarily stopped the provision of services, until the deficiencies are remedied, for 4 economic operators, he proposed the closure, for a period of up to 6 months, of one economic operator, the closure of another for a period from 6 to 12 months and the sealing of 2 meat warehouses and a car full of lamb carcasses, whose owner could not be identified.
The main deviations found by the commissioners were:
– lack of display of the sale price of the goods
– the lack of displaying, on the label, the identification-characterization elements of the food products, the country of origin of the products and the minimum durability date
– the lack of graphs for monitoring the temperature of the refrigerated display cases
– the sale of fresh meat products for which traceability and, implicitly, the consumption limit date could not be established
– the sale of frozen products with surplus ice
– non-compliance with the storage temperature of the products (storing them outside the refrigerated display case, at ambient temperatures, etc.)
– the existence of damaged and unhygienic pavement
– the use of unsanitized refrigerated display cases, with residues, accumulations of dust and grease, with accumulations of liquid, food residues and impurities, with depreciated
– non-compliance with the conditions imposed by the manufacturer regarding handling and storage
– the use of an unsanitary and damaged warehouse (with broken pavement, exfoliated paint, household waste, rust)
– storing food products in direct contact with the floor
– failure to respect the proximity of the products
– the sale of food products with organoleptic changes in appearance and consistency
– lack of frying oil replacement schedule
– lack of information about allergens
– using kitchen utensils with wear and burnt fat, unsanitized storage containers
– inconsistency between the use-by date mentioned on the declarations of conformity and the one displayed on the labels in the display case.
