“From goods and services, we propose a reduction of 3,200 million lei. We are reducing trips, reducing purchases… From the personnel expenses chapter, we have proposed to implement the memorandum from 2022. Around 600-650 million lei can be the reduction at the MAI”, state liberal sources.
According to the quoted sources, the Ministry of Digitization sent the prime minister an analysis according to which a reduction in expenses of 160 million lei and a reduction in the personnel scheme of 20-30 employees is proposed.
“At the Ministry of Education, an analysis was made, and the conclusion was that there is no possibility to reduce expenses, but, on the contrary, the ministry will ask for additional funds at the next rectification. There are 1,200 counselors in schools to be hired, there are offices that need to be rebuilt…”, PNL sources mentioned.
Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă announced on Thursday that he requested spending cuts in the ministries.
