According to ANR, the navigation accident took place on Friday at 15.45, in the area of Reni port, in Ukraine.
“A Comoros-flagged ship transporting live animals collided with a Romanian-flagged ship transporting ammonium sulfate. Following the accident, the river ship with the Romanian flag suffered a water hole and a pusher was brought in to assist in order to push it to the right bank and thus avoid its sinking”, according to ANR.
The quoted source states that the maritime vessel has not suffered any damage and is anchored in the harbor of Reni on the left bank and that efforts are being made to save the river vessel.
