The Holy Light from Jerusalem, considered a miracle of Orthodoxy, arrived in Romania, in Bucharest, and is offered to the delegates of the dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate present at the Otopeni International Airport.
BOR had announced that the Holy Light would be brought from Jerusalem by Father Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, the Superior of the Settlements of the Romanian Patriarchate at the Holy Places.
The Holy Light is offered, at this time, to the delegates of the dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate present at the airport. Then, the Holy Light will reach the whole country either by aircraft, helicopters or cars. In Constanta, according to the Archbishopric of Tomis, the Holy Light will be taken from the Black Sea.
On Saturday evening, the ceremony of receiving the Holy Light takes place in the Patriarchal Cathedral.
In Jerusalem, the Holy Light was lit at around 14:55, and the Patriarch of Jerusalem shared the light with those gathered there.
