The fire occurred on Bucharest Street in Alba Iulia, burning tires and waste, according to ISU Alba.
“Due to the fact that the fire manifests itself with very large releases of smoke and is near the CFR train station and the ring road, a RO-ALERT message was sent within the radius of the Alba Iulia municipality”, informed the cited source.
Firefighters remove the oxygen and acetylene cylinders located near the place of the fire, because there is a danger of explosion.
“Until now, approximately 70 cylinders located near the fire have been extracted. The intervention forces are still working to extinguish the fire and protect the cylinders. The affected area is approximately 1,000 square meters”, added ISU Alba.
