The World Snooker Championship first round match between Joe Perry and Robert Milkins was interrupted on Monday night by a protester who jumped onto the table, sprinkling orange powder on the table.

A protester created chaos at the World Snooker Championship
The man wearing a “Just Stop Oil” t-shirt came out of the audience and jumped on the table shortly after the match between Joe Perry and Robert Milkins began.
He was then quickly detained by security and removed from the table. A similar attempt took place at the next table, where the match between Mark Allen and Zhengyi Fan had started, but the law enforcement officers managed to stop the person who was preparing to get on the table.
According to all probabilities, the Joe Perry – Robert Milkins match will be postponed until Tuesday, and it will most likely be necessary to replace the player on the affected table.
