Three UN World Food Program workers have been killed in Darfur during clashes in Sudan, according to Sky News.
Two other staff were injured in the line of duty and a humanitarian aircraft was damaged, which had a “serious impact” on WFP’s work, a UN spokesman said.
The program has been suspended while security rules are reviewed.
The violence in Sudan broke out on Saturday. At least 97 people were killed and 365 were injured. The African country’s army and the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are involved in the conflict.
