According to the Harghita Police, the police officers from the Miercurea Ciuc Municipality Police identified the persons suspected of the aggression on the Resurrection Night.
“It is about two men, one aged 24, from Tuşnad and the other aged 39, from Madaraş. From the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that, around 02.30, the 39-year-old man was in an obvious state of intoxication and was allegedly assaulted by two people in the central park in the municipality of Miercurea Ciuc. Later, together with his 24-year-old friend, he went to the park, where they saw a group of young people. The group noticed the aggressive intentions of the two men, which is why they ran towards the nearby church, but in front of it, an 18-year-old man from Miercurea Ciuc was caught by the two, who hit him several times . Later, the young man received medical care, fortunately his hospitalization was not necessary. The two men stated that they would have confused the respective young man with another person”, says the Harghita Police.
Also, the young man beaten by mistake stated that he wants to reconcile with the two aggressors, for which he withdrew his complaint.
The police are continuing the investigations, under the coordination of the case prosecutor, for committing the crime of disturbing public peace and order.
