According to the IGSU, the rescuers from Tulcea were requested to intervene in the Mineri locality, to save a stork in danger due to a package wrapped around its neck.
“Because it was scared, and could have flown near the rescuers, a team from the sanitary-veterinary department, which came to support, applied the specific procedures, so that the intervention was successful and the bird was released safely “, IGSU transmitted.
The intervention lasted about an hour and took place in an area difficult to access for rescuers.
The stork was recovered and returned to the nest without problems.
