According to the Muftiat of the Muslim Cult in Romania, the celebration will begin with the service that will be celebrated on the first day in all places of Muslim worship, in which men will take part.
After the service, the family members will go to the cemetery to commemorate those who have passed on to the eternal, and later the children will go caroling from house to house. Being also known as the “sweet Bayram”, on the occasion of this holiday there is no shortage of traditional baklavas on Muslim tables.
On Friday, mufti Muurat Iusuf will officiate the Ramazan Bayram service at Geamia Hunchiar, starting at 6:47.
“Dear believers, there are three days of celebration ahead, three days in which our homes are open to friends and relatives, when we, in turn, go on visits, enjoying our loved ones and abundant meals. I urge you that even after the 29 days of fasting, let us keep repentance and prayer in our souls, let us be with our fellow men, let us continue to bless our souls by reading the Koran. The month of Ramazan was a month of reflection, a month in which we analyzed our own deeds and behavior in order to find the right path in the future, to correct what we did wrong and to be better, to weigh ourselves better deeds and words and to continue to show solidarity and respect in the relationship with our peers, regardless of ethnicity. Each such period can be for any of us a new step towards our own change for the better if we learn to dedicate ourselves more to reflection, prayer and good deeds regardless of the period of the year we are going through. It is not only on holidays that we must pay attention to the needs of our fellow men, it is not only on holidays that we must go to the window. Our soul constantly needs food, just like the body to which we give food every day. So, let’s enjoy the three days of celebration that will follow, let’s spend them in the company of families and friends. At the same time, let’s not forget that our brothers are in great suffering in war zones or severely affected by natural disasters and in these days of celebration let’s be with them at least with our prayers!”, he conveyed to the faithful the head of the Muslim Cult in Romania.
