“There is still a very romantic feeling about owning your own private Scottish island, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy peace and quiet in the most beautiful scenery in the area,” said Galbraith’s Aaron Edgar Group, the selling agent.
It is unlikely that the person who will buy it will be a commuter. The nearest town is approximately six miles away and the nearest railway station is Dumfries, an hour away by bus. London and Edinburgh are over 350 and 100 miles away respectively.

The agent expects a lot of interest in this miniature kingdom. “We have seen strong demand from national and international buyers for entire private islands after dealing with the sale of several islands in Scotland,” said Edgar.
