Are you worried that AI will take your job? You are not alone, reports the BBC.
“I’m amazed at how quickly ChatGPT has become so sophisticated,” Claire, a PR worker, told the BBC
“Give it a few more years and I can certainly imagine a world where a bot does the job as well as I can”she added. “I hate to think what this could mean for my ability to work.”
“I think a lot of creative people are concerned”Alys Marshall, a copywriter from Bristol, UK, told the BBC.
„We all just hope that our customers will recognize our values and choose the authenticity of a human over the price and convenience of AI tools.”
Chinese video game developers are already being put out of work by AI, while a number of publishers have already started experimenting with writing articles.
Goldman Sachs predicted that artificial intelligence can automate 300 million jobs, equivalent to the population of the United States of America.
“It’s normal to feel anxious about the impact of AI because its evolution is fluid and there are many unknown factors,” said Carolyn Montrose, a career coach and lecturer at Columbia University, for the BBC.
Montrose also believes that anxiety is a choice, and every anxious worker out there should “to choose to feel concerned about AI or to be empowered to learn about it and use it to their advantage.”
For example, according to Wall Street, Ihor Stefurak made a Chrome extension using ChatGPT and earned thousands of dollars after only 10 hours of work.
On Insider, a mom says she uses ChatGPT to write stories for her 5-year-old, and a photographer uses Try it on.ai to create amazing photos.
