“Being put in contact with them by phone, they said that they deviated from the ridge route with the intention of reaching the Grota Studentilor, on the grohotiş. They also communicated that the area seemed very dangerous to them and they accessed another way back, but they got stuck in the rocky wall. The young people were advised to stay where they are, and where they are safe until the rescuers arrive”, announces the Salvamont Alba County Public Service.
The mountain rescuers moved urgently to the indicated place, they located them stuck on a grassy ridge.
“They were secured and the evacuation/launching operation began to a place where they would no longer be exposed to danger. From here they will be able to continue the descent on their own feet, led and assisted by mountain rescuers”, reports Salvamont Alba.
