Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, told The Associated Press that Ukraine’s allies are helping the government secure technical equipment needed to launch the attack, delivering heavy armored vehicles and ammunition.
But he also expressed frustration that sometimes officials from allied countries “I promise one thing and do something completely different”. He did not give any other details regarding this aspect.
“If we are not prepared, then no one will start the counteroffensive unprepared”, he said as quoted by AP News.
Speaking about the major leak of information from the US, Danilov emphasized that he does not consider it harmful, stressing that Ukraine does not share extremely sensitive information with anyone.
“If anyone thinks we are reporting to someone, then they are deeply mistaken.” he said.
“Such sensitive security matters are decided in closed meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and only there will it be decided when, in which direction and at what pace we will liberate our territory”he added.
