Employees will have a new three-day mini-vacation
May 1st will be a day off in celebration of Labor Day. This holiday falls on a Monday and is connected to the weekend, so Romanians will have 3 consecutive days off.
The following days off in 2023 are:
1 of June, children’s day
June 4 and June 5 — The second day of Pentecost
August 15 — Dormition of the Mother of God
November 30 — Saint Andrew
December 1 — National Day of Romania
December 25 and December 26 — Christmas
This year, those who work for the state will additionally have the days of June 2 and August 14 free, with the aim of creating bridges between the already free days and weekends.
