The 5th round of the play-off schedules one of the most important derbies in Romanian football, the duel between Rapid and FCSB, the only teams that, over time, have faced each other in five different major competitions: Superliga, Romanian Cup, Supercup, League Cup and European cups, notes lpf.ro.

10 wins, four draws and two defeats is the record recorded by the Giulești team this season at home. Moreover, they scored at least one goal in 15 of the 16 games played at home.

March 5, 2023, UTA – FCSB 3-1: it was the only game lost by the red-blues in the previous 10 trips in the Romanian Superliga, in the rest they have eight successes and one draw.

The game could record a meeting between the best scorers of the first 34 rounds, Marko Dugandizic – 17 goals, respectively Andrea Compagno – 18 goals (13 for FCSB).

A possible interesting duel is also announced between two promising young men, Antonio Sefer (six goals, one assist) vs. Octavian Popescu (three goals, six assists, one penalty taken).

Last but not least, the performances of the two goalkeepers should also be watched, as they are among the winners of the current edition: Horaţiu Moldovan (110 saved shots, of which 29 supersaves) and Ştefan Târnovanu (89 saved shots / 26 supersaves).

Only 28 players were used by Rapid during the season, the group from Giulești being the team with the fewest matches in which they made all five changes allowed by the regulation, only six games.
