A suspicious letter was sent to the headquarters of the French Embassy in Moscow, say sources within the Russian security services, quoted by the Tass and Reuters news agencies.
“Employees of the French Embassy received a letter containing an unknown substance on Monday evening. Agents of the intervention services are on the spot,” said a Russian official.
The Russian authorities are analyzing the substance to determine if it is dangerous. Crews of the security services were dispatched to the scene.
