Thousands of students from Galaţi villages are taken to the museum as part of a project run by the county authorities. The program includes visits to the Botanical Garden, the ZOO, the History Museum, the Natural Sciences Museum Complex, the Art Museum, the Village Museum and the Fishery Museum.

On Monday, on the first day of the program, over 250 students from Galati County visited the museums under the County Council for free. It is about students from Tecuci, Barcea, Movileni, Schela, Matca, Nămoloasa, Vlădeşti and Folteşti.
Some of them have never been to a museum, say the organizers of the event.
“Today, a project very dear to me started, through which, for almost two months, we will give more than 5,200 children the chance to see the Botanical Garden, the ZOO, the Museum of History, the aquariums at the Complex for free, many for the first time Museum of Natural Sciences, Art Museum, Village Museum and Fishery Museum. It’s about students who study at schools in the countryside or in cities tens of kilometers away from the city of Galati,” announced Costel Fotea, president of the Galati County Council, on Facebook.
Transport and meals are paid with funds from the county budget.
