The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued, on Tuesday night, a Code Orange flood warning for rivers in Timiș County.

According to the INHGA, the warning goes into effect Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. and is in effect until Wednesday at 12:00 a.m.
As a result of the spread of the previously formed floods upstream, there will be significant increases in flows and levels with excesses of the levee quotas of the second phase of defense on the rivers in the hydrographic basins: Bârzava – downstream sector SH Gătaia (dammed sector), Moraviţa – downstream sector of SH Şemlacu Mare (dammed sector), Timiş county.
The phenomena can occur with greater intensity and severity on the Bârzava river – related sector of SH Gătaia.
