UPDATE 22:40 The final balance of the accident
Two buses with children collided head-on, according to the Sibiu Police.
According to the final balance provided by ISU Sibiu, 86 children and 7 adults were involved in the accident.
33 children and one adult were transported to the hospital with minor injuries and various contusions, all persons being conscious and cooperative.
The rest of the people refused to be transported to the hospital. Following the on-site investigation, the traffic police determined that 2 coaches and a car were involved in the road accident.
In the buses were 86 students of the Braşov Theological Seminary, as well as teaching staff, who were returning home, after visiting Sibiu today.
The road accident occurred on DN1, at km. 291+100m, involving a car driven in the direction of Braşov – Sibiu and 2 coaches driven in the direction of Sibiu – Braşov.
From the first investigations, it seems that the driver of the first bus (man, 52 years old, from Braşov) braked suddenly when he noticed the car driven from the opposite direction by a 55-year-old man from Arada. The bus traveling behind him (driven by a 64-year-old man from Suceava) collided head-on with him, and the car was slightly overturned as a result of the impact.
Several people, slightly wounded and conscious, were transported to the hospital.
Road traffic has resumed, moving in both directions.
UPDATE 22:30 Up to this moment, 10 children have been transported to the hospital by the crews of the SMURD and the County Ambulance Service, conscious and cooperative.
UPDATE 22:00 Up to this moment, 65 people have been medically evaluated, all of them are conscious and cooperative.
3 people are transported to the hospital, they are 2 people aged 15 and one aged 17. They complain of cervical pain, they are conscious and cooperative. These will be transported to the Luther CPU.
The two buses collided head-on, the Sibiu Police announced. Road traffic is carried out in one direction, alternatively.
UPDATE: All the people got out of the buses.
34 people are receiving medical care, there are no incarcerated people, nor seriously injured people, according to the ISU.

“According to the first information, approximately 90 minors between the ages of 15-18 are involved. At the level of Sibiu County, the Red Intervention Plan was activated”, announced ISU Sibiu.
