The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) took note of the decision issued on Thursday by the Bucharest Court of Appeal, in file no. 2441/2/2023, by which the court rejected, as unfounded, the request of Societăţii Euroins România Asigurare-Reasigurare SA for the suspension of ASF Decision no. 242/17.03.2023.
Through this decision, the Authority ordered the withdrawal of the company’s operating authorization, the determination of the state of insolvency and the promotion of the request for the opening of bankruptcy proceedings against it.
“Through the decision pronounced, at this moment, the court confirms the legality and validity of the measures taken by the ASF through the contested decision”, reports the ASF.
The Council of the Financial Supervisory Authority decided, on March 17, 2023, to withdraw the operating authorization of the Euroins Romania Asigurare-Reasigurare SA Company, noting the signs of the company’s state of insolvency.
According to the provisions of art. 7 para. (2) from GEO no. 93/2012, ASF is the only authority in a position to pronounce on the appropriateness considerations, qualitative evaluations and analyzes that are the basis for issuing its documents.
