An unknown “military object” was found in a forest in Poland. Several intervention teams arrived at the scene and believe that the equipment belongs to the Polish army, according to Reuters.

A military object found in a Polish forest triggered a large-scale operation. Excavators, trucks, the vehicles of bomb disposal experts, as well as military police and fire engines are on site.
The teams on the spot believe that the object does not come from abroad and that it probably belongs to the Polish army, private broadcaster RMF FM announced on Thursday.
The authorities also say that the object embedded in the ground could be part of an air-to-ground missile, measuring several meters, which was embedded in the ground.
The representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Justice in Poland described it as “a military object”.
“The military department of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdansk, under the supervision of the National Prosecutor’s Office, initiated the procedures regarding the remains of an aerial military object found in a forest a few kilometers from Bydgoszcz,” the Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro, announced on Twitter.
The area where the object was found is hundreds of kilometers from Poland’s borders with Ukraine, Belarus and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.
