The Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs that, at this time, no national roads or highways are reported to be closed to traffic as a result of any road event or unfavorable weather conditions.
On the main roads, namely the A1 Bucharest-Pitesti, A2 Bucharest-Constanța, A3 Bucharest-Ploieşti, DN 1 Ploiesti-Braşov and DN7 Râmnicu Vâlcea-Sibiu highways, traffic is carried out on a predominantly dry road, with good visibility and normal values.
Road traffic remains restricted, due to falling stones from the slopes, on DN 7CC – Călimăneşti Ring Road, km. 3+150 meters, Călimăneşti, Vâlcea county. Traffic is carried out on a single line, alternatively, with the help of traffic lights and signaled with beacons and indicators.
Also in Vâlcea county, depending on the weather conditions, repair works are carried out on several road arteries, as follows:
– on DN 7, km 161+800 m – 162, within the radius of the Milcoiu locality, roadway milling works are being carried out in order to execute the asphalt carpet, between the hours of 08:00 – 12:00. Road traffic takes place on 1/2 of the track, directed by traffic controllers;
– on DN 7, km 167+800 m – 167+900 m, within the radius of the Budeşti locality, works are being carried out to restore the road system, between the hours of 08:00 – 12:00. Road traffic takes place on 1/2 of the track, directed by traffic controllers;
– on DN 7A, km 31 – 32+300 m, outside the town of Malaia, dangerous tree cutting works are being carried out, between 08:00 and 16:00. Road traffic closes/opens in intervals of max. 20 minutes, directed by traffic pilots;
– on DN 67, km 196+500 m – 197+100 m, outside the town of Rm. Vâlcea, preparatory works for parapet installation are being carried out, between the hours of 08:00 – 12:00. Road traffic takes place on 1/2 of the track, directed by traffic controllers.
– on DN 67, km 135+500 – 158, in the radius of the Miloștea – Tomşani localities, various road markings are applied, between the hours of 08:00 – 16:00. Road traffic takes place on 1/2 of the track, in the area of pedestrian crossings, directed by traffic controllers.
Infotrafic recommends drivers to adapt their speed to the traffic and road conditions, to take into account that the braking distance increases on a wet or slippery road and to use the fog lights if they travel on roads where this phenomenon is present.
