Russia sees a “drift” of the Republic of Moldova that will lead it to “absorption” by Romania, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said during a press conference.

“They have already destroyed their language, they no longer call it the Moldovan language. We see a drift towards absorption by Romania. We see actions aimed at deliberately limiting one’s own sovereignty,” said Putin’s spokeswoman.
Peskov commented on the words of the vice-president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev.
According to Medvedev, Moldova, after the decision to ban a number of Russian officials from entering the country, including President Vladimir Putin, no longer exists.
